Eating dinner or drinking a beer while watching the ships go by… what a lovely scene. Restaurants along the Columbia offer fantastic food and a view you won’t soon forget.
For a fine dining experience, Bridgewater Bistro has stunning views of the Columbia River and Astoria-Megler Bridge, and the building itself was restored so it is modern and sleek with soaring ceilings and windows from the sea to the sky. Nekst Event is nestled in the 14th St. Pilot Station, serving a menu of globally inspired street food. Warm food, choppy waters, and a blue heron friend are often part of this restaurant experience.
Want to grab a beer and some great pub food? Inferno Lounge takes you away from time with a complete view of the river, leather booths, and great pizza. Astoria Brewing Company and Buoy Beer serve locally-brewed beers and tasty eats. Astoria Brewing has a view straight to Washington. Buoy gets you close and personal with sea lions, and if you’re lucky you’ll grab a spot near the fire pit.
You can’t skip Coffee Girl tucked next to historic Pier 11 cannery operations. Sip your coffee and enjoy a lox plate while watching the ships float by.
