ADHDA Logo Design Contest

Thu, Apr 07, 2011

The Astoria Downtown Historic District Association (ADHDA) is calling all artists and graphic designers. ADHDA is looking for local talent to help us design a new logo. We are looking for a simple (easy to recognize and read) logo that focuses on downtown Astoria. The logo needs to work well in both black/white and color versions. The name of the association “Astoria Downtown Historic District Association” must be incorporated into the logo design. Other elements that we like are the Trolley, the Flavel house, the Liberty Theater, the waterfront, and store profiles. We are interested in elements that are part of the downtown district, which is bounded by 8th Street on the west, 16th Street on the east, Exchange Street on the south and the river on the north. Local businesses and individuals are donating cash and merchandise for the winning entry. If you or your business would like to help with the logo design by contributing cash, merchandise or store credit please contact Blaire Buergler. We appreciate and encourage all entries. Please email your entry to All entries must be received by April 20.
