Two Locals Win Regatta Prizes

Kathleen Hudson of Hammond won a 43-inch television from the Sears Hometown Store in Astoria, and Vicki Baker of Astoria won an original print by local artist and collector Michel Foster. The drawing was organized by the Astoria Regatta Association in cooperation with the Astoria Downtown Historic District Association as part of the 2011 “Sail-On Regatta” promotion. Special thanks go to Jim Montgomery of the Sears Hometown Store in downtown Astoria and to Michael Foster for donating the prizes.

The Astoria Regatta Association partnered with ADHDA to promote local businesses during this year’s Regatta Celebration. Commemorative Regatta Pins were sold at various downtown businesses, and people wearing Regatta pins could register for the prize drawing at various businesses and take advantage of special deals offered by participating merchants.
