ADHDA Board of Directors - Call for Nominations

Tue, Nov 01, 2011

Are you interested in promoting the health and future of Downtown Astoria? The Astoria Downtown Historic District Association (ADHDA) is looking for interested individuals to serve three-year terms on its board of directors. Each year, the terms of three of the nine ADHDA board members expire, and an election is held to fill those spots.

If you are interested in running for one of the three open positions, ADHDA bylaws call for candidate hopefuls to submit a petition signed by nine members of the organization by November 11 (21 days prior to the election). Ballots will be in the mail to all paid members by November 16, in accordance with the bylaws. If you would like to run for a board member position and need a petition and/or a list of current members, please contact Blaire Buergler.

ADHDA will announce the results of the board of directors election at their annual meeting on Friday, December 2 at 8:30 a.m. at Baked Alaska.

The three terms that expire at the end of this year are those held by Jennifer Holen, Rose Marie Paavola and Blue Anderson (who was appointed to the position previously held by Patricia Saunders). The three candidates receiving the most votes will be elected to the board.

If you have any questions please contact Downtown Coordinator Blaire Buergler at 503.791.7940 or blaire@astoriadowntown.com.
