This topsy-turvy fashion show features Astoria's finest men celebrating Jane Barnes, the first European woman of Astoria celebrating her 200th birthday this year. Reserve your tickets early, as space is limited, and you do not want to miss this ONE NIGHT ONLY event! This delightful and hilarious evening of big wigs and hairy chests in glamorous dresses will be held at the Astor Street Opry Company (ASOC) Playhouse, 129 West Bond Street in Astoria, and will feature new and returning "Gentlemen Janes" ready to strut the runway. The fashion show starts at 7:30 p.m. Doors open 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are available at Old Town Framing Co. (1287 Commercial St) or Gimre’s Shoes (239 14th St). General admission tickets are $25.00. Reserve a spot at a VIP table right in front of the catwalk for $40.00. (Cash or check only) Tickets can also be purchased at the door before the event, based on availability. All proceeds go to support the Astoria Downtown Historic District Association (ADHDA).
The “Jane Barnes Revue” is sponsored by Holly McHone Jewelers, and features over 20 men ready to strut down the 16’ cat walk. This year’s lineup includes the debut of Sean Fitzpatrick of Wecoma Partners, Ltd., also known as Kimo San Juan and Hits 94.3 owner Rob Meadows as Katie Pecan. Jade Kiosse of Astoria Country Club and Jack Harris of Fort George Brewery are among the "Gentlemen Janes" that will be returning to the stage!
If that isn’t enough to wet your whistle, there will be a live auction during intermission that includes many, one-of-a-kind adventures. Have you ever wanted to hike Saddle Mountain with Pete Gimre or see Astoria from the perspective of the KMUN radio tower? How about an Eco Tour excursion along Astoria’s historic waterfront or enjoying the great outdoors exploring Camp Kiwanilong followed by a catered picnic lunch for 10? Maybe you have been wanting a “stay-cation” and enjoy the river views from the Cannery Pier Hotel with a tasting menu and wine pairing from Baked Alaska or have a mini makeup makeover by Malama Day Spa owner, and make-up extraordinaire, Riki Fleischmann? Join auctioneer Mary Blake, ADHDA and our “Gentlemen Janes” as we celebrate Jane Barnes and her 200th birthday.
