Astoria Downtown Historic District Association (ADHDA) has recently become the
organizer of the Pacific Northwest Brew Cup, the premier beer festival on
Oregon’s North Coast. This Oktoberfest style beer festival featuring at least
36 Brewer selected beers, live music, food, and family games is scheduled to be
held the last weekend in September, the 27th, 28th and 29th
at Astoria’s newly renovated Historic Train Depot, just east of the Columbia
River Maritime Museum, along the Astoria waterfront.
a non-profit organization that is committed to encouraging community
involvement and investment in preserving the character of historic downtown
Astoria while promoting its health and future. Astoria is currently a
participant in the Oregon Main Street (OMS) program and a member of the
National Main Street network. The Main Street Approach is a proven
comprehensive approach to commercial historic district revitalization. As a
501(c) (3), all donations made to ADHDA are tax deductible.
Over 36 distinct
northwest beers are on tap for this annual three day event that draws
approximately 3,000 (and growing) beer lovers from all over the Lower Columbia
and up and down the coast each year. Entrance to the festival is free. Festival
attendees can purchase a souvenir glass mug which is the official tasting glass
for the weekend, and also purchase individual tastes of the various beers. This
is a family friendly event with activities for children as well. The event is
scheduled to run from noon -10pm on Friday, 11am -10pm on Saturday and from
11am - 4pm on Sunday.
