WHAT IS THE ORGIN OF YOUR BUSINESS… WHY ASTORIA?
Over the years, Mary and Teresa loved searching for old treasures at garage and estate sales. Together, they would rejuvenate and restore special pieces giving them a new life. They sold at antique malls, and with great success at Julie Bay’s Barn Sales at her home in the country. (History Note: Julie Bay owned the very successful country home décor store on 10th Street in Astoria “Country Crafters” that closed a few years ago.)
Mary and Teresa hobby grew rapidly and they eventually decided it was time to dedicate themselves to opening a store together. Rusty Dahlia is a vintage rustic boutique full of everything they love. They also offer crafting workshops and classes creating beautiful hangings, plant arrangements, wreaths and more for your home.
Everything came together when space became available on 10th Street in Astoria, just two doors down from where Julie Bay once had her Country Crafters Store.
